Important Dates
First round of acceptance/decline/waitlist notifications will go out in January 2026.
Second round of acceptance/decline/waitlist notifications will go out in March 2026.
This vibrant event will showcase American handcrafts and fine art while uniting art lovers, collectors, neighbors, visitors, and the local community for an elevated, but accessible, art experience.
Selected artisans from across the country will feature works including ceramics, glass, wood, metal, photography, painting, printmaking, sculpture, jewelry, mixed media and furniture.
Sanders Ferry Park is a scenic lakeside park that has gently rolling terrain with large trees with family friendly amenities. This spacious park with views of Old Hickory Lake is centrally located in Hendersonville, Tennessee and just 35 minutes from metropolitan Nashville.
Emerging Artist Program
The Emerging Artist Program is designed to support artists in the formative years of their creative careers by providing visibility, community, and professional development opportunities. Selected artists will have the chance to showcase their work alongside seasoned exhibitors, connect with fellow creatives, and engage directly with the vibrant audience of the Hendersonville Arts Festival.
Who Qualifies as an Emerging Artist?
An emerging artist is someone who is in the early stages of their artistic career and is still developing their professional presence. Typically, an emerging artist:
Is within the first 10 years of actively pursuing their art career
Has not exhibited at more than two art fairs or festivals
Is looking for opportunities to gain experience, connect with peers, and reach new audiences
This program is intended to offer a supportive entry point for artists who are ready to take the next step in their creative journey.
Program Details
All mediums are welcome. Artists working in any discipline may apply.
Artists must not have participated in more than two art festivals prior to applying.
Applicants must submit a completed application along with high-quality photos of their work.
Participants should have sufficient artwork to display and sell during the full two-day festival.
The festival will provide a 10' x 10' booth space.
Artists are responsible for providing their own tent, display materials, and any additional setup items.
Rental options are available if needed. Pricing will be given upon request.
There is a $100 participation fee for artists accepted into the program.
